Safeguarding my programs
Posted by admin in Electronics
As a programmer, I am often called to create new products for people. I work on a freelance basis, which is great for my social life, and for my bank balance, but it is not so great for my online safety. Because I am working on my own, I don’t have a large company that pays for my insurance, I have to fork out for this myself. I also have to be very aware that if anything goes wrong with something that I am designing in the creation stage, the cost of this is going to fall on my head.
I realised quite early on in my career as a freelancer that I needed to help of a firm who could safeguard my work for me. I started to research the subject and after a while I had a bit of an idea about the sort of system that I wanted running for me. I started to search online for a suitable company to trust with this work, and in no time I came across a company who specialised in computer security services.
Naturally, I wanted to find out about what they did before I so much as even contacted them. The internet is rife with bogus companies, and you really do have to watch every step you take. Fortunately after doing a bit of a background check on them, I could see that they were a company that I would be able to trust. Their track record was nothing short of amazing, and they had been one of only three companies that had worked alongside Microsoft when they were creating the Vista program! Naturally I thought to myself that if they were good enough for Microsoft, then they would be good enough for me, and I am happy to report that so far they have served me wonderfully.
